About Our Website

What is the point of this website?

This website is meant to inform people. There are tons of problems our environment is facing.  Humanity need to take action. There are thousands of ways that people can help make an impact on the world. The website will talk about and outline ways that people can be more conscious of how their behavior is effecting our environment.  We hope that this information will effect you and make you want to change your actions and help save our wilderness.

Why is each creator interested in this topic?

Sam: Living just a couple miles from the Pacific Ocean, I have always been interested in how our actions directly impact the environment and our marine animals. I want future generations to have the opportunity to grow up with the natural beauty of the ocean, just the way my generation and previous generations have.

Leah: My love for the wilderness comes from summer camp. I have gotten the opportunity to get experiences that let me connect with nature. Nature is such a wonderful, beautiful part of the world. I want other people to gain the connection and experiences that nature provides to humanity.

Noah: I chose this interest group because of my care for nature and the environment. I love taking trips into nature and because of how much I adore it I want to learn and teach people how to protect it. Everything depends on the environment to survive. Nature takes care of us so we have to take care of it.

Isaac: Over the summer of 2021 I hiked 400 miles along the Appalachian Trail, which runs along the length of the United State’s East Coast. I was shocked by how populated well known areas like Mt. Washington were in comparison to the rest of the trail. It was clear that the diversity and presence of wildlife in these highly populated areas was so much lower than less traveled sections of trail, and it begged the question: how do we conserve areas while still keeping them available for humanity to enjoy?

Chloe: I chose this interest group because of my love for nature. Not only does nature make up the beautiful place we live but the forests, rivers, oceans, and soils provide us with the food we eat, the air we breathe, and the water we drink. We rely on nature for our health, happiness, and prosperity. By saying that, it is clearly important that we are helping keep that alive.
